Next time I am in EC2 I will check out this place. Open from 6.30am to 4.30pm it provides fresh wholefoods with choices of wheat free, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and low fat dishes and drinks. See the menu at www.podfood.co.uk

  • Giraffe

This is a chain of 'world food' family-orientated restaurants with the emphasis on fresh ingredients. Quite a bit of choice for the CRONie. You can enjoy the house salad with grilled salmon or chicken or one of their fruit smoothies. Check out the menu which is constantly being updated, at www.giraffe.net.

This is a long established store with a wide range of wholefoods and organic produce. I never visit without finding something interesting and unusual.

Twinings do a great green tea selection pack - includes Pineapple and Grapefruit, Pear and Apple, Jasmine, and Orange and Lotus Flower. Available in supermarkets.

Pump 'N' Spray is made and supplied by Lakeland Limited and is available on mail order. It provides a fine mist of oil to spray on frying pans or baking trays, and also to mist vegetables prior to baking. It comes ready filled with extra-virgin olive oil, and then you can re-fill it with the oil of your choice.
